Build a Book: Writing In Rhythm & Rhyme

 

Playful drawing and writing exercises will develop skill, confidence, and joy in the young author and artist.  Led by book designer and editor, Susan Schurman, sessions will focus on concepts of texture, color, pattern, shadow and shape in words and pictures, and practical book-building skills.  Each participant will create, edit, revise and assemble a book of original writing and art. 

 

This program can be a 45 minute lecture/demonstration or a 3-5 day residency.

Grade Levels: 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,4-6,7-9,High School

Fees: $110 for single workshop; $95 for two or more workshops; Plus $110 planning meeting and $6 per student for the residency. / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate.
