Tales with a Point: Fables and Fairy Tales
Jay and Leslie's Laughing Matters
This program addresses core curriculum literacy standards while reinforcing popular character education goals. Jay and Leslie bring Aesop's stories to life with voice, body, imagination, and lots of help from the audience. After each story the students identify characters, settings, and major plot points while comparing the performance to other versions of the stories they may have heard. The morals of the stories are tied to character traits including respect, perseverance, honesty, responsibility, and citizenship.
