Jay and Leslies Laughing Matters (Master Teaching Artists) (Lighton Prize) [ view artist bio ]

American government takes center stage in this funny and lively combination workshop and performance by Leslie and Jay Cady of Laughing Matters. A workshop is conducted with students an hour or two before the show. Then those students become the cast members who represent the Congress, the Supreme Court, and a series of ill-fated presidents during the performance. Topics include how a bill becomes a law, the Electoral College, and presidential succession.
