Life on the Oregon Trail: A Pioneer Woman's Story

Kit Bardwell brings a trunk of artifacts to describe pioneer life on the OregonTrail.  Students participate in the experience, and her dynamic delivery keeps them actively engaged. Students perform charades, play games, examine artifacts, do creative thinking in small groups, listen for clues, and participate in a story.

Grade Levels: 4,5

Fees: $110 single, $95 each for 2 or more on the same day / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.

Requirements: Enclosed classroom or multi-purpose space; open space large enough for children to sit in a circle on the floor; long space across the front of the room for display materials; desk or table for display materials; one chair; all workshops in same room
