Music Around the World 

Students are exposed to musical styles and instruments from four areas of the world; Gahu drumming from Ghana, West Africa, performed on Ghanian barrel drums,; Brazililan samba, performed parade style; Calypso steel drumming from the Caribbean Islands; and silent movie era ragtime xylophone music from the United States.  A large, colorful map is featured in this guided world tour allowing students to follow the journey of music around the world.

Grade Levels: K,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12

Fees: $484 for 1 performance; $729 for 2 or more performances on the same day / The break between performances must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate.

Maximum Audience Size: 250

Availability: Wednesdays preferred, other days available upon request.
