New World Music Gumbo

 

 The music of the Americas is a rich stew mixed from African rhythms and European melody and harmony.  This program demonstrates how musical elements from different sources and peoples have blended together to form a new world musical language.

 

Students will hear the common elements uniting music of Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, and the United States with Africa and Europe.

Grade Levels: 3,4,5,6,7,8

Fees: $484 for 1 performance; $729 for 2 or more performances on the same day / The break between performances must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate.

Availability: Monday & Tuesdays

Program Length: 45 minutes

Location: At Your School

Requirements: Four chairs and four music stands. Teachers must be present at all times during performance.
