Troll’s Toes and Wolf’s Paws

This workshop stimulates writing and language skills through imaginative participation by acting out familiar children’s stories.  Master teaching Artist, Susansylvia Scott, tells a much loved story, such as Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Pigs or others.  Delightful and meaningful variations are added that make the wolf or troll less a big, bad bully.  These changes lead to classroom discussion about forms of problem solving and students taking over the roles in the story.  Students will recreate the characters within the story by using their language skills and creativity.  Every student receives a chance to participate, adding their own delightful and inventive contribution to a character or property in the story.

A residency is also available.
