Peculiar War (The)

The Peculiar War is a timely presentation designed to meet national standards for education in music, history, social studies and is targeted for students who are studying the Civil War.  The unifying theme of this program is the commonalities between Confederate and Union soldiers.  Lem will perform contemporary arrangements of spirituals, abolitionist songs, and popular music of the Victorian era.  The presentation also includes a sing-a-long and movement exercise for younger grade levels.

Fees: $339 single, $551 double / The break between performances must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.

Maximum Audience Size: 250 students

Requirements: Large, open performance space; electrical outlet nearby; one chair.
